A Fresh Single’s Home in Mankkaa

The highlight of this modern row house is the high living room with full-height windows spanning the entire wall. However, the windows felt a little stark, especially in the evenings when all you could see outside was darkness or the lights from neighboring houses. To soften the space, I designed striking curtains that can be drawn fully or partially across the windows as desired.

The carpenter crafted a TV unit with mesh-front doors, allowing sound from the hidden speakers to pass through while keeping the remote control fully functional. The same carpenter also made the hallway shoe cabinet and a side table, ensuring a cohesive and custom-fitted interior.
