A Dream Holiday Home in Hanko

When I first saw this property, it looked very different from what you see in these photographs. The nearly original 1950s stone villa stood quietly on the rocky shore, somewhat forgotten and waiting for a new life. It was completely renovated, and on the side facing the morning sun a beautiful English-style orangerie was added — the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful morning coffee.

The striking solid oak ceiling beams and the exceptionally beautiful solid oak flooring were sourced from England. The impressive folding doors and traditional divided-pane windows were ordered from a Swedish window manufacturer.

As the villa has only two bedrooms and the large plot offered generous building rights, it was decided to also build a separate guest house and a new beach sauna. They blend so naturally into the surroundings that they look as if they have always been there.

It truly is a dream destination for summer holidays.
