Beautiful Home in Kauniainen
When the client first contacted me at the beginning of summer, they needed help fitting furniture moved from a large detached house into their new apartment. At that time, I wasn’t able to take on the project, but when they called again in the autumn, the approach had changed: furniture that didn’t suit the new space would be replaced, leaving only the artworks, figurines, and a few design classics.
The wardrobes were also redesigned for improved functionality. Lighting was enhanced with track systems and striking new ambient lamps. Most of the furniture was ordered from Vepsäläinen, including the beautiful Adea sofa and armchairs. Large windows were dressed with delicate, softly toned curtains, which also concealed the balcony’s unattractive wall while hiding a convenient storage area behind them. All artworks were reframed and carefully hung using picture rails in thoughtfully chosen locations.
